JARVIS FEATURE — SEGMENT JARFLOS

These are segment form taps. After the first section (top tap) is used it is cut-off. Then second section (bottom tap) serves as a whole new tap to use.
Essentially a ‘2 for 1’ tap.
The SEGMENT TAPS shown in the photo are used on a tight tolerance steel nut application making nuts for hose fittings. 
These are in the JARFLO product classification at JARVIS. They are form taps with a short bottom cut-down to acquire full threads close to the bottom of the hole.
Form taps produce no chips when threading the hole. They have deep lube grooves to generate high lubrication to the thread while tapping.
Made from premium PM HSS + these will be coated with PVD for which helps the tap deliver exceptional tool life on this application. (Go To: Coating Infographic)
Through unique design we control the minor diameter to a close .002” tolerance in the product.
Segment taps are similar looking to a Tandem taps which has a rougher on the first tap and a finisher on the bottom tap.
