To Our Valued Customers & Business Partners,

We are writing to update you on the current COVID-19 situation affecting our great nation. Many industries will be closed in the coming weeks and we felt it important to let everyone know that we will be open.

Jarvis Cutting Tools is a direct supplier to customers that the United States Government has identified as essential suppliers responsible for delivering parts required by essential government functions. As such, Jarvis Cutting Tools will be classified as Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers and will be allowed to continue production despite the COVID-19 outbreak.

Of course, the health and safety of our employees is of the utmost importance to us, and we have instituted procedures to limit the transmission of coronavirus among employees and all employees non-essential to production are working off-site.

Currently, our manufacturing plant remains open and are producing parts and shipping according to schedules. We are working closely with our vendors and reaching out to our customers digitally where possible in order to reduce the risk of virus spread. We have asked our field engineers to limit their travel, and to seek pre-authorization before entering your facilities, however, they are prepared to respond in any emergency.

Our goal is to continue to provide uninterrupted service to our customers and we are ready to serve your needs. We ask for your continued transparent communication with us in meeting your ongoing needs and keeping your commitments to your customers. If you expect to experience increases or decreases in tool consumption during COVID-19 we request that you please communicate them to your Account Manager or Sales Representative as early as possible.

We thank you for your partnership during this challenging time. Be assured that we are working hard to prepare for whatever challenges come our way in the next few weeks/months. We will still be here in 2021 just like we were in 1919.

As many manufacturers are re-configuring to best support our country’s needs, we would like to share some of our on-site capabilities should they be of any advantage to producing critical medical/military supplies:
• Heat Treat: We have a 6-bar vacuum furnace and a group of tempering ovens. We normally heat treat High Speed Steel and are used to temperatures over 2,000°F.
• Thread Grinding: We have Drake and Normac thread grinders. We have both semi-automatic machines (for short to medium runs) to fully automatic machines (for long runs).
• OD Grinding: We have Cincinnati and Studer OD Grinders.
• Flute Grinding: We can grind grooves, flutes, or spirals into parts.
